Joe Gibbs Racing uses XP0 synthetic engine
oil for qualifying. This oil features the same anti-wear
chemistry as their race proven XP1, but XP0 utilizes an
ultra-lightweight base oil for maximum horsepower during
qualifying conditions. The low viscosity/high anti-wear
chemistry of XP0 makes it ideal for low-temperature drag
race applications (Pro-Stock cars and bikes, Competition
Eliminator and heads up class competition, etc...).
Viscosity typical of
SAE 0W. |
 |
XP1 features a proven additive
package designed to protect a flat-tappet camshaft turning
over 9,000 RPM, and XP1 utilizes multiple high film strength
base oils capable of protecting an 850 horsepower engine
operating at 240F. XP1 can be used in any racing engine that
calls for a SAE 30 weight viscosity. XP1 performs the
best in engines operating with oil temperatures between 180F
and 240F.
Viscosity typical of SAE 5W-20. |
 |
Joe Gibbs Racing uses XP2 synthetic engine
oil for restrictor plate racing at Daytona and Talladega.
XP2 features the same anti-wear chemistry as their race
proven XP1, but utilizes a lightweight base oil for
increased horsepower without decreased durability. It's SAE
20 weight viscosity makes XP2 a very versatile oil. It is
heavy enough to run 500 miles, but it is light enough to run
in a Pro Stock engine. XP2 performs the best in tight
clearance, low RA surface finish and/or moderate temperature
applications (130F to 220F).
Viscosity typical of
SAE 0W-20.

A higher viscosity version of
XP1, XP3 provides proven protection for both Gasoline and
Alcohol fueled engines. Designed for clearances under .0027,
XP3 works well in both wet or dry sump engines. XP3 performs
the best in engines operating with oil temperatures between
200F and 280F.
Viscosity typical of SAE 10W-30.

Joe Gibbs Driven developed XP7
specifically for hydraulic lifter engines (either
flat-tappet or roller). This oil features the same anti-wear
chemistry as their race proven XP1, but XP7 utilizes a
unique combination of synthetic and mineral base oils for
maximum horsepower via improved ring and lifter sealing.
Viscosity
typical of SAE 10W-40. |

Specifically designed for
breaking in engines and flat tappet camshafts and lifters,
BR-30 break-in oil provides high levels of Zinc, Phosphorus
and Sulfur in a mineral base oil and it provides excellent
ring seal. Combined with Joe Gibbs Driven Engine Assembly
Grease, BR-30 provides the highest levels of protection for
camshafts, lifters, wrist pins, distributor gears, push rods
and valve retainers. BR-30 is fully formulated and requires
no EOS or other additives. Because it is a 10W-30, BR-30
works well in wet sump and low temperature applications. It
also works well in OEM rebuilds and tight clearance
applications. BR-30 can be used for up to 2 hours of
break-in/dyno time or 400 miles on the street before
changing to an XP series race oil. |
